We get asked that a lot, especially when people are checking the email or website address.
verb. fo•cused or fo•cussed
- To direct toward a particular point or purpose: focused all their attention on finding a solution to the problem.
- To converge on or toward a central point of focus; be focused.
- To adjust one’s vision so as to render a clear, distinct image.
- To concentrate attention or energy
According to www.future-perfect.co.uk, “the official requirements are that we double a single consonant letter at the end of any base where the preceding vowel is spelled with a single letter and stressed”… although they add that ‘Focused’ can take either double or single s, with the single option being highly preferred.
It’s our preference to use Focused, but don’t worry – if you’ve emailed us @focussedonlearning.com, we’ll still get it :)
